About Us

The Mashpee Teachers Association acknowledges that its purpose is:

First and foremost to work for the welfare of Mashpee school children.

...to develop and promote practices and policies for the advancement of the education profession.

... to unify and strengthen the teaching profession and to secure and maintain the salaries, retirement, tenure, sick leave, and other working conditions necessary to support the teaching profession.

... to act as the official representative of the classroom teacher within the Mashpee Public School System; to act as spokesman and bargaining agent before the Mashpee School Committee; and to speak for the united teaching profession on matters of education to the community as a whole.

... to advocate for quality public education in an environment in which lifelong learning and innovation flourish.
